Terms of trade


Assembling products Each product must be assembled per carton as each item is individually predrilled. Components mixed from different items will not fit properly.


Carton inspection Before signing off, all cartons must be thoroughly inspected at time of delivery. The appearance of an accordioned end or corner to the carton, no matter how small, means that the carton has been dropped and the contents may have sustained damage. Upon inspection, if contents are visibly damaged, refuse that carton. At time of delivery the carriers Bill of Lading (your delivery receipt) must be signed PENDING INSPECTION if it is not possible to inspect all items. Do not allow the driver to leave until this is completed.


Delivery details Consigned to address must be correct; delivery addresses cannot be changed once your order has shipped. The customer is responsible for informing Barlow Tyrie before shipment if the delivery address is a residential location, inaccessible by large trucks, difficult to find, or may otherwise be problematic. Please advise us of any date’s consignee will not be available for the delivery.


Delivery options available Besides UPS, all deliveries are curb side, by common carrier. Customer must be present to inspect items at time of delivery. Truck drivers will not unpack, assemble or remove empty cartons. A signature is required on all deliveries. ALL residential deliveries require a 24-hr. call ahead. If there is no one to receive the delivery on the prearranged date, the trucking company will charge a redelivery fee. 


Made to order cushions Some sets contain cushions which are not standard items and not in stock. This is indicated on applicable product descriptionsFor these sets’ cushions will need to be ordered. Once your order has been placed, we will work with you to help you choose your preferred Sunbrella® fabric color. To see the current A grade fabrics please enquire. Made to order cushions will take approximately 4-6 weeks. As with all clearance purchases, we do not accept returns or exchanges of cushions. All cushion images are for product illustration and as a guide only. If you have any further queries contact us prior to purchasing.


Order cancellation If an order is cancelled before shipment, it is subject to a 3.5% administration fee and will be deducted from your refund.


Refunds We do not accept returns or exchanges on any clearance item. All sales are final. If you have a query on a product, please contact us before purchasing and we will be happy to help.


Reporting shortages and damages Shortages must be noted on the Bill of Lading. No claim for hidden damages or shortages can be reported if more than 48 hours have passed from delivery time. Whenever possible, we will assist the customer in filing a freight claim with the carrier, but Barlow Tyrie is not responsible for damages in transit or storage.


Rustic Teak The Titan Range is from our Rustic Teak Collection that uses teak featuring knots and a varied grain pattern, which we believe is part of its character and charm. Please note that a laminated timber product in an outdoor environment is ‘alive’, so cracking is normal and can be expected.


Specifications Product dimensions are approximate and we reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.


Soiled stock We offer some stock on the clearance website, which might be marked in some way. We will give details of any marks in the product description and show them in the images.  Please study the product description and images before proceeding to the checkout as items are sold as described.
